The state has wrapped up its case against EFF Leader, Julius Malema, and his bodyguard, Adriaan Snyman. They both face charges of discharging a firearm in public.

Defence lawyers now plan to bring an application to discharge the case, citing a lack of evidence. During the trial, state witnesses pointed out Malema as the person discharging the firearm in the video evidence.
